The Purpose of Liberation

A life of depth, happiness, and fulfillment will elude us as long as we are always seeking these goals through our achievements. The experience of deep contentment precedes any psychological need.
If we predicate our happiness on any achievement outside of ourselves we will have assured ourselves a life marked by anxiety, self-doubt, and fear.
The key to rousing one’s self from the insecurity, lack, and fear that gnaws at us, is to see, with absolute clarity, who we are not.
Our authentic self waits for the person who sheds their attachment with what is false and allows their truth to shine. When we stop believing the incessant call of our False-Selves, we can finally feel the strength and vitality that is our innate authenticity. That is freedom. This is the purpose of Liberation.

Entry 1

It feels rather strange making an entry into a blog that I seriously doubt anyone will look at it, but you know what they say about a trip of a thousand miles...

This blog is about finding our original self. It is loosely based on my readings of Krishnamurti, Joan Tollifson, Zen Buddhism, Tao Te Ching, Chuang Tzu, Guy Finley and others, but it is mostly based on my years of practice and experimentation with various ideas and concepts.

My primary website is: www.liberationfromthelie.com, which is also the title of my book, based on these same ideas. I invite you to that site if through some remarkable coincidence you stumble upon this tiny fragment of cyberspace.

I believe that I found a way out of the quagmire of the spiritual search and invite anyone to read these notes. They might actually appear each day...or they might not. I will introduce some of the basic ideas of this new lexicon of self-awakening either later today or tomorrow, at the latest.
